The Minucci family ancestral home is Pietrastornina, Italy In the province of Avellino. It is about 45 miles east of Naples in the mountain region of Campania. It is a small mountain town with a current population of 1700 people consisting of about 700 families.

Many of the families that settled in Port Reading, NJ came from this town as attested by the Ellis Island immigration records. (Interestingly, the Ragucci family that owned the grocery store in Port Reading – no relation to our family - also came from this Italian town).
